Ritec Celebrates
Silver Anniversary at
Glasstec 2006
Visitors to the Ritec
stand at this year's
Glasstec were greeted
with a host of exciting
new developments to mark
the 25th anniversary of
the revolutionary glass
surface protection
technology, ClearShield...
Pioneered by Stephen and
Karen Byers in 1981,
this milestone stands as
a testament to the
enduring success of this
technology over the
competition.
The company and its co-exhibitor
Bohle ClearShield -
Ritec's joint venture
with Bohle AG -
generated much interest
and excitement among
visitors from Europe,
the USA, Asia and the
Middle East. Indeed,
the company showed that
even 25 years on, it is
still dedicated to
coming up with fresh
ideas and innovations
for a constantly
changing and competitive
marketplace.
The latest developments
making their debut at
the show included new
applications for
ClearShield such as
solar panels, the
ClearShield Sandblast
Protect aerosol spray
for easy spray-on
application, and
ClearShield Heat
Performance grade for
use on glass and
ceramics subjected to
high temperatures,
including ovenware and
oven doors.
Ritec also launched its
new Commercial Starter
Packs containing a full
range of specialist
solutions for cleaning
and protecting glass.
These packs present
potential customers with
an ideal introduction to
ClearShield and its well
renowned proven
technology. Also
generating a lot of
interest were recent
developments in spraying
equipment as Ritec
unveiled the fully
automatic V2000 Modular
system.
Ritec's Boat, the River
Art, was also a big hit
at the show and welcomed
visitors from all areas
of the glass and glazing
industry to celebrate,
network, exchange ideas
and discuss market
issues in a social
environment. The River
Art was also the venue
for the official
ClearShield 25th
Anniversary presentation.
Stephen and Karen Byers
were presented with a
commemorative glass
plaque to mark this
landmark in the
company's history with
colleagues, friends and
peers from throughout
the industry.
“It has been a great
show for us and we have
had many visitors to the
stand in what is our
11th visit to Glasstec.
ClearShield's
versatility is certainly
one of the keys to its
continued success and
its longevity is clearly
something to celebrate
and reflects the
product's track record
out in the field," says
Stephen Byers. “ We will
continue to invest in
research and development
to improve the
technology even further
to benefit our customers
around the world. No
doubt we will be back in
2008 with even more to
say. We love glass and
think it deserves
protecting." |
